The Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering allows INDI to have the ability to create intricate code using AI/ML and teach students/researchers the increasingly vital industry of information technology, also known as IT. The school continues to be completely unique in composition, intellectual breadth, and mission. With a twenty-first century sensibility, the Luddy School integrates computing, social science, and information systems design in unique ways.
The School of Science offers the same Purdue degree, but to students that want to enter the scientific or mathematics fields. Participants of INDI also have the opportunity to spend their summers in the new Science and Engineering Laboratory Building, with new and competitive equipment.
The School of Medicine here in Indianapolis is one of the epicenters of innovation and discovery. INDI has the privilege to share and maintain much of their equipment and for the benefit of both programs. With collaboration from the IU School of Medicine, this research area not only takes advantage of campus strengths but allows INDI to differentiate itself from other nanotechnology centers across the country and develop a niche in bionanotechnology and nanomedicine.
Researchers at the School of Dentistry here in Indianapolis played a key role in one of the most significant public health advancements in human history: the development of the first fluoride toothpaste. Today School of Dentistry researchers are carrying on that legacy of innovation as they make strides in areas such as advaced materials, cariology, dental informatics, and bone and tissue engineering.
With the help of the School of Education, teachers and students that participate in INDI are ensured great teaching techniques. Teachers have the ability to take a class that can further develop their teaching and communication skills when they teach about nanotechnology.
