The Purdue School of Engineering and Technology here at IUPUI provides its full support for INDI and its projects. Many of the labs that the students and teachers work in are provided by the school. Students enrolled here have the opportunity to gain an illustrious Purdue University degree in any of the STEM fields.
The School of Science offers the same Purdue degree, but to students that want to enter the scientific or mathematics fields. Participants of INDI also have the opportunity to spend their summers in the new Science and Engineering Laboratory Building, with new and competitive equipment.
The School of Medicine here in Indianapolis is one of the epicenters of innovation and discovery. INDI has the privilege to share and maintain much of their equipment and for the benefit of both programs. With collaboration from the IU School of Medicine, this research area not only takes advantage of campus strengths but allows INDI to differentiate itself from other nanotechnology centers across the country and develop a niche in bionanotechnology and nanomedicine.
The Luddy School of Informatics and Computing allows INDI to have the ability to create intricate code and teach students and teachers the increasingly vital industry of information technology, also known as IT.
With the help of the School of Education, teachers and students that participate in INDI are ensured great teaching techniques. Teachers have the ability to take a class that can further develop their teaching and communication skills when they teach about nanotechnology.
Partner Institutes
IUPUI's Center of Research and Learning (CRL) leads the initiative of ensuring that all students, undergraduate and graduate, have the opportunity to engage in research with full-time faculty and advance their knowledge of their subject areas.
The STEM Education Innovation & Research Institute, also known as SEIRI, is another program that strives for the advancement of research and innovation. The program also advances research through consultation and grant support.
The Transportation Active Safety Institute (TASI) is a developing project that focuses on the increased safety of drivers and pedestrians throughout the state of Indiana.
INDI also has the privilege to partner with the Indiana Center for Regenerative Medicine and Engineering. As a part of the IU School of Medicine, this program works on the micro and nanoscale to help advance the well being of Indianapolis residents.
The Lugar Center is a leading program that focuses on the creation of new and environment-friendly energy sources. Using ideas from biology, engineering, chemistry, nanotechnology and more, they wish to mitigate climate change and make it sustainability more appealing to companies.
